How it works
Each roll takes one random byte from your browser's own secure random number source. Bytes 0 to 251 are split evenly across the six faces, 42 values each. The four bytes left over, 252 to 255, are thrown away, so no face is favoured.
For a fair die, each face is expected about one sixth of the time. The table shows how far each face landed from that, in whole rolls and as a percentage. Short runs wander a lot. Long runs wander less, in proportion, but never to exactly zero.
The sentence under the Roll button uses a chi-square test with five degrees of freedom. A result past 11.07 happens in about 1 fair run in 20, and past 15.09 in about 1 in 100. So an uneven-looking run now and then is normal and is not a fault in your browser. Press Roll again and it usually goes away.
This only checks your browser's random numbers. It says nothing about a real die, a casino, or any other random number source.
Runs are not saved. The list of runs lasts until you close or reload the page. Nothing you do here is sent anywhere.
